Field trips and outdoor classes are complemented by classroom and laboratory activities: in the Microscopic Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Ecology Laboratory and the audiovisual room equipped with state-of-the-art tools.

Microscopic Laboratory

The lab features 10 microscopes (12x5, 12x10, 12x40) and 12 stereoscopic lenses, as well as an additional lens for the instructor (connected to the monitor). The capacity of the laboratory is 20 people.

Ecology Laboratory

The range of classes conducted in this laboratory is addressed to students of the final years of elementary schools, junior high and secondary education students. 25 types of classes are run in the Ecology Laboratory:

  •     Measuring water quality in the water bodies in the Forest Park
  •     How to remove contaminants from watert
  •     How different gases dissolve in water depending on its temperature
  •     Comparison of mineral elements in water from different sources
  •     Microscopic differentiation of drinking water from distilled water
  •     Measuring air pollution in the Park
  •     Measuring the reaction of fluids in the air
  •     Measuring air quality - CO2 content, temperature and humidity
  •     Analysis of O2 content and air temperature/pressure measurement
  •     Detecting faulty gas equipment and installations
  •     Examination of mineral elements in the soil
  •     Soil examination - finger testing
  •     Measuring the content of water in the soil
  •     Measuring the content of limestone, nitrogen and phosphorus in the soil
  •     Measuring soil reaction
  •     Measuring soil capacity
  •     Measuring soil sorptivity
  •     Detecting water in various parts of plants
  •     Detecting carbon in dry parts of plants
  •     Separation of photosynthetic pigments
  •     Detecting chlorophyll in red leaves
  •     How is the pine adapted for wind pollination
  •     How air temperature affects the spreading of flowers

Computer Laboratory

Ten computers are available for use in the laboratory. We offer a variety of software for children and young people (CD-ROM), which can be used to learn about ecology, botany, biology and environmental protection. Internet access available.

Audiovisual room

This spacious and fully equipped room (projectors, transparency projector, VCR players, computer, audio equipment)  can be used for educational classes, conferences, workshops, seminars and training sessions for as many as 100 participants.
